Creator Program – Creavl

Article 1 – Purpose
These Terms of Use (hereinafter "ToU") set out the conditions under which Creators may access the Creavl Creator Program and create, publish, and monetize their travel content.
Creavl provides a digital platform enabling Creators to share their travel recommendations and, where applicable, generate revenue through guide sales or affiliate partnerships.
Accessing the Creator Program and using its features constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these ToU.
Article 2 – Definitions
For the purposes of these ToU, the following terms have the meanings set out below:
- Platform : the Creavl digital platform, accessible in particular via the website www.creavl.com.
- Creator : any individual or legal entity holding a Creator account validated by Creavl, enabling them to create and publish Guides on the Platform.
- Guide : any editorial content published on the Platform by a Creator, including recommendations, itineraries, addresses, activities, or travel-related information.
- Traveler : any person accessing the Platform, including users who browse or purchase Guides.
- Revenue : amounts that may be generated by a Creator via the Platform, notably through Guide sales or affiliate programs.
Article 3 – The Creavl Platform
Creavl is a digital platform connecting Creators and Travelers. Creavl acts solely as a technical platform operator.
Creavl is not a travel agency, tour operator, carrier, accommodation provider, or direct supplier of tourism services.
Services offered through third-party partners — including bookings, activities, transportation, or accommodation — are provided under the exclusive responsibility of those partners. Creavl is not liable for the performance of such services.
Article 4 – Access to the Creator Program
Access to the Creator Program requires the prior submission of an application to Creavl. Creavl reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion and without obligation to provide reasons.
Once an application is approved, the Creator may access the Platform's content monetization tools.
Creavl may suspend or revoke access to the Creator Program, in particular in the following circumstances:
- breach of these ToU;
- fraud or attempted fraud;
- publication of non-compliant content;
- conduct detrimental to the proper functioning of the Platform.
Article 5 – Creator Account
The Creator undertakes to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating and using their account.
The Creator is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity conducted through their account.
In the event of unauthorized access to their account or suspected fraudulent use, the Creator must notify Creavl without delay at hello@creavl.com.
Article 6 – Publishing Guides
The Platform enables Creators to publish Guides including, in particular, place recommendations, itineraries, activities, practical tips, and destination information.
Creavl may moderate Guides before or after publication. Creavl reserves the right to refuse, modify, or remove any content that does not comply with these ToU.
Article 7 – Creator Responsibility for Content
The Creator is solely responsible for the content they publish on the Platform.
The Creator undertakes to publish content that is accurate, sincere, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Content must not infringe the rights of third parties or contain misleading or false information.
The Creator acknowledges that certain destination information may change over time and undertakes, to the extent possible, to keep their Guides up to date.
Article 8 – Copyright and Licenses
The Creator warrants that they hold all rights necessary for the content they publish, including texts, images, videos, documents, maps, or any other element incorporated into a Guide. They also warrant that they hold the licenses required for its use.
By publishing content on the Platform, the Creator grants Creavl a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, distribute, and promote such content for the purposes of operating and promoting the service.
This license is granted for the entire period during which the content remains available on the Platform.
Article 9 – Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on the Platform:
Automated scraping or mass reproduction of third-party content is also prohibited.
- content protected by intellectual property rights, used without prior authorization;
- content copied from paid sources or protected by a restricted-access mechanism (paywall);
- pirated, counterfeit, or unlawfully reproduced content;
- defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal content;
- misleading or deliberately false content.
Article 10 – AI-Generated Content
The use of artificial intelligence tools to produce content is permitted, provided the Creator verifies the accuracy, relevance, and lawfulness of the information prior to publication.
The Creator remains fully responsible for any content generated using such tools. Creavl reserves the right to refuse or remove any AI-generated content deemed misleading, inaccurate, or of insufficient quality.
Article 11 – Content Monetization
Creators may generate revenue through the Platform, including by:
Creavl may charge a commission on revenue generated. Applicable terms are detailed in the Creator's personal dashboard.
- selling Guides to Travelers;
- affiliate links directing users to third-party partners;
- any other monetization mechanism offered by the Platform.
Article 12 – Estimated Revenue
Amounts displayed in the Creator's dashboard may include estimated revenue. These figures are provided for information purposes only and do not constitute an acquired right to payment.
Article 13 – Revenue Validation and Affiliate Programs
Some revenue generated on the Platform comes from affiliate programs operated by third-party partners. Amounts shown in the dashboard only become final after validation by the relevant partners and upon expiry of any applicable cancellation or refund periods.
Third-party partners apply their own commission validation rules. Accordingly, Creavl cannot guarantee the final amount of commissions or their approval. Adjustments may occur in particular in the event of:
The specific terms applicable to each partner program are detailed below. Creators are invited to review them before integrating the relevant links into their content.
- booking cancellation;
- refund granted to the end user;
- commission rejection by a partner.
Booking.com

Accepted content type
Only travel blogs are eligible for the Booking.com program. A travel blog is understood to be any personal or hosted website (WordPress, etc.) using affiliate links to redirect users to Booking.com pages.
Commission validation
Commissions are only recorded after the stay has actually taken place. Any booking identified as fraudulent is excluded from the calculation and may be adjusted even after payment.
Rules of conduct
Creators may not register a domain name containing the terms "Booking" or "Bookings", nor use misleading promotional techniques likely to harm the Booking.com brand. Any breach may lead to immediate suspension of the partnership.
Expedia

Accepted content type
Only travel-related content sites and blogs are eligible. Expedia covers packages, hotels, car rentals, and activities.
Commission validation
Commissions are calculated on purchases actually completed by visitors redirected from the creator's content, within the applicable cookie duration. Any commission generated through artificial traffic or fraudulent activity will be canceled.
Rules of conduct
Creators may not bid on the "Expedia" brand name in PPC campaigns, nor use advertising materials other than those provided by Creavl.
GetYourGuide

Accepted content type
Only travel-related content sites and blogs are eligible. GetYourGuide offers tours and activities.
Commission validation
Commissions are calculated on purchases actually completed by visitors redirected from the creator's content, within the applicable cookie duration. Any commission generated through artificial traffic or fraudulent activity will be canceled.
Rules of conduct
Creators may not bid on the "GetYourGuide" brand name in PPC campaigns, nor use advertising materials other than those provided by Creavl.
Viator

Accepted content type
Only travel-related content sites and blogs are eligible. Viator offers tours and activities.
Commission validation
Commissions are calculated on purchases actually completed by visitors redirected from the creator's content, within the applicable cookie duration. Any commission generated through artificial traffic or fraudulent activity will be canceled.
Rules of conduct
Creators may not bid on the "Viator" brand name in PPC campaigns, nor use advertising materials other than those provided by Creavl.
Civitatis

Accepted content type
Only travel-related content sites and blogs are eligible. Civitatis offers activities, excursions, guided tours, and transfers. Inappropriate content, including pornography, violence, discrimination, or the promotion of illegal activities, is strictly excluded.
Commission validation
Commissions are paid in the month following the actual completion of the service. Civitatis gift cards are not commissionable. Any cancellation, refund, or detected fraud results in the corresponding commission being deducted from the next payment.
Rules of conduct
Creators may not bid on the "Civitatis" brand name in PPC campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.), nor use promotional materials other than those provided by Creavl. Creators undertake to keep their content up to date and not generate artificial traffic to Civitatis.
Klook
+
Accepted content type
Only travel-related content sites and blogs are eligible for the Klook program. Branded Facebook pages, adult sites, or hateful sites are not accepted.
Commission validation
Commissions are calculated on purchases actually completed by visitors redirected from the creator's content, within the applicable cookie duration. Any commission generated through artificial traffic or fraudulent activity will be canceled.
Rules of conduct
Creators may not bid on the "Klook" brand name, its variations, or its domain name in PPC campaigns. They may not promote unauthorized discount codes either, nor use advertising materials other than those provided by Creavl.
Article 14 – Payments
Validated revenue is paid to Creators in accordance with the terms defined on the Platform. Payments may be processed through a third-party payment provider such as Stripe Connect.
The Creator must provide the information required to receive payments, including their bank details and tax information.
Creavl may suspend payments in the event of fraud, suspected fraud, or breach of these ToU.
Article 15 – Self-Billing
To simplify the administrative management of transactions on the Platform, Creavl may issue invoices on behalf of the Creator for Guide sales made to Travelers.
These invoices are issued in the Creator's name and made available in their personal dashboard. The Creator expressly accepts this self-billing arrangement and undertakes to verify the accuracy of the information contained therein.
Creavl issues separate invoices for the commissions it charges on transactions. The issuance of such invoices does not affect the Creator's tax obligations; the Creator remains solely responsible for their tax filings and compliance with applicable regulations.
Article 16 – Platform Commission and Set-Off Mechanism
In consideration of the services and tools provided by the Platform, Creavl charges a commission on revenue generated by Creators, including on Guide sales and affiliate commissions.
When paying out revenue, Creavl deducts its commission from the amounts owed to the Creator (set-off mechanism). A corresponding invoice is made available to the Creator in their personal dashboard.
The Creator expressly accepts this mechanism. The Creator receives a net amount equal to the revenue generated, less the applicable commission and any fees or adjustments provided for under these ToU.
Article 17 – Tax and Social Obligations
The Creator is solely responsible for complying with their tax and social security obligations relating to revenue generated through the Platform. Creavl does not provide tax or legal advice in this regard.
Article 18 – DAC7 Obligations
In accordance with the European DAC7 regulation applicable to digital platform operators, Creavl may be required to collect, verify, and report to the relevant tax authorities certain information relating to revenue generated by Creators.
The Creator undertakes to provide Creavl with the information necessary to comply with these obligations within the required timeframes.
Article 19 – Indemnification
The Creator undertakes to indemnify Creavl, its officers, employees, and partners against any claim, complaint, or legal or extrajudicial proceedings arising from:
This indemnification covers legal fees, attorney costs, and any damages awarded.
- content published on the Platform;
- infringement of intellectual property rights;
- breach of these ToU.
Article 20 – Content Reporting and Takedown
Any person who believes that content published on the Platform infringes their rights may submit a substantiated takedown request to: hello@creavl.com.
Creavl reserves the right to remove or temporarily suspend content upon receipt of a credible report, or where required to do so by law.
Article 21 – Fraud and Manipulation
Any attempt to manipulate the revenue system or Platform mechanisms is strictly prohibited. This includes in particular:
Any breach of these rules may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of associated revenue.
- creating false bookings or fictitious purchases;
- manipulating affiliate links;
- artificially generating traffic or clicks.
Article 22 – Guide Ranking
The Platform may use algorithms to organize, rank, or recommend Guides to Travelers. Criteria may include content quality, popularity, information freshness, or relevance to user searches.
Creavl reserves the right to define and modify Guide ranking criteria at any time.
Article 23 – Suspension and Sanctions
In the event of a breach of these ToU, Creavl may, depending on the severity of the breach, take one or more of the following measures:
These measures may be taken without prior notice in the event of a serious breach.
- removal of one or more Guides;
- temporary or permanent suspension of the Creator account;
- withholding of pending revenue;
- termination of access to the Platform.
Article 24 – Account Termination
The Creator may request the closure of their account at any time by sending a written request to hello@creavl.com.
Creavl may terminate an account in the event of a breach of these ToU.
Upon termination, regardless of the cause:
- Guides may be removed from the Platform;
- validated revenue may be paid out in accordance with applicable terms;
- revenue arising from fraudulent conduct may be permanently cancelled.
Article 25 – Creavl's Liability
Creavl acts as a technical intermediary and shall not be liable for:
Creavl's liability may only be engaged in the event of a fault directly attributable to Creavl, within the limits provided by applicable law.
- content published by Creators;
- services provided by third-party partners;
- decisions made by such partners.
Article 26 – Platform Protection
Any automated data extraction, unauthorized reproduction, or scraping of the Platform is strictly prohibited. Creavl reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies in the event of a breach of this provision.
Article 27 – Personal Data
Personal data collected in connection with use of the Platform is processed in accordance with Creavl's Privacy Policy, available at www.creavl.com.
Article 28 – Force Majeure
Creavl shall not be held liable for any failure to perform its obligations resulting from a force majeure event within the meaning of applicable law, including in particular natural disasters, network outages, or governmental actions.
Article 29 – Amendments to the ToU
Creavl reserves the right to amend these ToU at any time. Creators will be notified of any material changes through appropriate means (Platform notification, email, etc.).
Continued use of the Platform following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Article 30 – Assignment
Creavl may transfer or assign all or part of its rights and obligations under these ToU, in particular in connection with a reorganization, merger, or sale of the company, without affecting the rights of Creators.
Article 31 – Governing Law
These ToU are governed by French law. In the event of a conflict between a translated version and the French version, the French version shall prevail.
Article 32 – Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these ToU, the parties shall endeavor to reach an amicable resolution. Failing agreement, any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
